“ I found this fish & chip shop on the Google maps. Only a 10 minutes walk from were my accommodation was.Friday night this business gets very busy. Staff customer service skills were very good. They close at 19.30 pm which came has a surprise to me. When you have paid for your order they give you a collection number. There is a collection point outside the premises were you collect your order from once a member of staff has shouted out your collection number. Food was delicious. Prices were reasonable. Yes I would go back to this takeaway next time I'm in Scarborough ”

Excellent quality food all cooked to order, fried in beef dripping (of course), great service and good prices. You can even park on the road outside (may be tricky in summer). ”

Everything is cooked in beef fat so it's just droolworthy. Ain't gonna make a fat boy slim but it's like, get-in-mah-belleh stuff. Try this place over the other chippies if your hotel is nearby or you can make the detour. ”

“ Everything a UK fish and chip shop should be. Everything they serve is made with beef dripping, just as it should be, resulting in the quintessential fish and chips experience that has been missing from our nation since most began to use the far inferior vegetable oil to appease vegetarians/odd people. As someone who makes and uses beef dripping for all meals I make at home in Manchester, it can be difficult to find places to eat that carry the same ethos of making food in a natural, good and honest way. Beef tallow is rich in bioavailable fats, vitamin A and even vitamin K, which is good for eyes and skin. Anyway, I came here last year in the summer on recommendation from a fellow festival goer, and the staff here were kind enough to hang on from closing whilst I beckoned my friends who had just arrived to Scarborough on the promise that this was no normal chippy. The quality of their fish, the mastery of balance in flavour of their chips cooked in the dripping, I can honestly say this is the best fish and chip shop I’ve experienced since Nancy’s on Macc Road closed in the 90’s. As I’m attending the festival again this year, I’m secretly more excited to eat here again than I am to see any of the bands. Bravo, Ramshill Fisheries. ”
